About Shagbark

My name is Jay Stoltzfus, owner of Shagbark Puppies. I live on 3 acres on the outskirts of New Vienna, Ohio, just about an hour from Cincinnati, Dayton, and Columbus. A few things about me… I love to travel and have been on several mission trips to other countries. I enjoy flying and hope to one day earn my pilot’s license. I’m especially passionate about the fight against human trafficking and about being a voice for the broken and most vulnerable in our world. I believe honesty and integrity are essential in today’s society, and I strive for excellence in everything I do—values I also bring to raising our puppies.

Growing up on a farm, dogs were always part of our family. I loved the companionship they brought, and after buying my own home, I knew I wanted that same joy in my life. After raising a few litters, I realized how much I enjoyed the challenge and reward of raising puppies and finding them loving homes. That’s when Shagbark Puppies was born. Today, we specialize in raising Cavalier King Charles Spaniel puppies and Boston Terrier puppies—both breeds known for their affectionate personalities, adaptability, and loyalty. Whether you’re looking for a Cavalier puppy with a calm, loving temperament or a playful, spirited Boston Terrier puppy near Cincinnati, Dayton, or Columbus, we work hard to ensure every puppy is healthy, happy, and well-socialized.
